Getting to know Kpandai

Before he left we had Mark outfitted with a GPS-equipped camera/tracking device. Once he can get some photos out we’ll be able to follow his adventures more closely, but this is start.

Satellite image of Kpandai (Google Earth spells it Kapandae) with the approximate locations of Mark’s current accommodations and the office where he’s working. For a sense of scale, the two are about 500m apart.

GE has recently updated their imagery for this area of Ghana. Some of the locations from former JF’s blogs are identifiable with a little sleuthing: the district assembly buildings, neighbouring communities, the river, hospital and leprosarium. I’ll continue to add markers as Mark updates us:
